PMSS Grad 2017 Lasagna dinner update – April 24th

We are very excited to offer more than $5,000.00 worth of donated silent auction items to bid on at our Lasagna Dinner this Thursday, April 27th.   All auction items (products, services and gift certificates) are donated by local businesses and community partners.

There are still more than 100 tickets available and we can not emphasize enough the importance of selling ALL of these tickets.  Without the support of parents and students it makes it very difficult to raise money for Prom & Dry Grad.  We encourage everyone to attend and invite your family & friends!   This is our last fundraiser before May 26th so please come out and support the Grad Class of 2017.

Please email pmssgrad2017@gmail.com for tickets or they can be purchased at the school during lunch this Tuesday, April 25th.  Tickets are $20, seniors and 12 & under $15.  Doors open at 5pm, dinner served at 6pm in the Multi Purpose Room at PMSS.

Just a reminder that we are holding our Lasagna Committee meeting tomorrow evening Monday, April 24th in room 2222.  Lasagna tickets will be available.

If you have not returned your raffle tickets please email pmssgrad2017@gmail.com and let us know how many sold and unsold tickets you have!!   It is extremely important that we sell all 1200 tickets for a profit of $10,000.00.  All money raised goes towards Dry Grad.

Lasagna Dinner & Silent Auction, Tickets on sale NOW!!! 

Dinner at PMSS April 27, doors open at 5pm, dinner served at 6pm.  Tickets can be purchased by emailing pmssgrad2017@gmail.com or during lunch this week Thursday, April 20 & Friday, April 21.  Tickets are $20, seniors and children 12 and under $15.

Prom & Dry Grad Ticket Sales  

Prom and Dry Grad tickets are on sale during lunch this week Thursday, April 20 & Friday, April 21 or they can be paid through the Parent Portal https://parents.sd42.ca.   Prom tickets are $80 and Dry Grad $120.

Commencement Ceremony Tickets – An Important Message from Ms. Griffin

Deadline to submit grad ceremony ticket and cap and gown forms has been extended until Wednesday, April 19th.  Forms were distributed in Grad Transitions class, and students must attend this class to submit payment.  Prior to form and payment collection, the students must email their write-up for the ceremony to Ms. Griffin (pgriffin@sd42.ca).  All inquiries regarding the grad ceremony should go to pgriffin@sd42.ca.

Guest Forms for Prom & Dry Grad are now available in the office.  Any guest invited to the Prom and/or Dry Grad must receive official written approval from Mr. Keenan.  All guest applications have to be returned to the office no later than May 1st.

Dry Grad offers many activities.  Do not miss out!!  Complete the Houle Games Waiver Form

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK STATEMENT” in order to participate in activities such as the Bull Riding station.  The waiver is posted to the grad website.  These waivers are a must and need to be handed into the office by May 12th.

This will be our BIGGEST fundraiser this year with the potential to raise $10,000. The grand prize is $2000 worth of Travel Vouchers redeemable on any travel arrangements made at Pitt Meadows Travel. Second prize is a return Helijet trip for two to Victoria or Nanaimo and 3rd prize is a $200 visa gift card.

Parents, as a special incentive, for every 20 tickets sold, your grad’s name will go into a raffle and the winning name drawn will have the choice of a $100 visa card or their Dry Grad ticket “FREE”.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in singles or as books of 10.   Tickets are available for purchase by cash or cheque, payable to PMSS Dry Grad.   We ask that every family try to sell at least one book of tickets. Email pmssgrad2017@gmail.com to arrange for pick up.    You do not have to pre-pay to pick up tickets.   Money/cheques can be handed in after the tickets have been sold.

Don’t forget to submit your baby photo and parent dedication.  Baby pictures and parent dedications can be paid and submitted on the Parent Portal https://parents.sd42.ca.

If you do not have access to the Portal you can use the following link https://www.formpl.us/form/6338354922651648 and fees can be paid at the school by cash or cheque (made payable to PMSS).  Please note on the cheque memo line for “baby photo & parent dedication” and include your student’s name.  Fees can be dropped off at the office and placed in the grad box.  The fee is $25.

The deadline to submit is this Saturday, March 11, 2017.   Submissions will only be accepted online!

Where:  Townhall Public House, 20690 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge

When:  Wednesday Feb 8, 2017 (Thursday is a Pro-D Day)

Time:  5pm – 10pm (no minors after 10pm)

All GRADS, parents, family members & friends are invited to come out and support the Grad Class of 2017!!  Tickets are $20 each and attendees will receive a burger (beef, chicken or veggie) and drink (POP, beer, hi-ball or wine).  We will hold a 50/50 draw and have separate games / prizes for the GRADS.  Tickets on sale Feb 1, 2 & 3 during lunch near the front entrance or email pmssgrad2017@gmail.com to reserve your tickets.

Black & Lee Tuxedo Rentals and Suit Sales would like to contribute to the success of our fundraising efforts.  They will donate $10.00 towards dry grad for each student who rents a tuxedo or buys a suit!  Additionally, each student that rents a tuxedo or suit will automatically receive $10.00 OFF the rental price.    Check out their website www.blackandlee.com for the newest styles and colours.  All fittings must be completed by April 30th, 2017.  When you visit one of their locations mention you are from PMSS and are a part of the Contribution Program.

Bottle Returns – Support Dry Grad 2017!!

Save your recyclables for our next bottle drive April 1, 2017 or bring your returns to either one of the following locations. This is ongoing throughout the year.

Maple Ridge Bottle Depot

Unit #15, 20475 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge.  The bottle depot is located behind Save-On-Foods just off 203rd Street in Maple Ridge.  They will accumulate the receipts for anybody who indicates their refundables are for PMSS Dry Grad 2017.  The person donating their refundables should get a duplicate receipt.  In order to keep track of donations, please write your graduates name on it and place it in the grad box in the office.

Pitt Meadows Bottle and Return-It Depot

19090 Lougheed Hwy, Pitt Meadows.  The bottle depot is located behind Save-On Foods in the Meadowvale Shopping Centre.  Mention it is for account #83, don’t forget to collect a receipt, put your grad’s name on it and place it in the grad box in the office.

Menchies – Ongoing!

Menchies will donate 20% from every purchase!  Funds raised will go towards Dry Grad.  We still have a few cards left if you did not receive one.

Grad can be expensive.  If you are a student in need of “formal attire” for the Prom please contact Trisha Umlah or Steve Kater and they can refer you to “Putting on the Glitz”, a program that offers free of charge Prom attire.

Dry Grad offers many activities.  Do not miss out!!  Complete the Houle Games Waiver Form

Our BIGGEST fundraiser this year will be the CRUISE RAFFLE. This much-anticipated annual

event has been HUGELY successful over the past few years. If you would like to be involved in

the planning and organization of the 2017 Cruise Raffle, or to find out more information on this

The Great Little Coupon Book is still available. 50% off, 2 for 1 and other great offers from local

companies that your family or friends will be sure to enjoy.
